Whether putting out reverberating “minimalust” techno, warm and lush deep house, or sprinkling some of that freaky deaky over unmistakable wax gems from his mighty archives, DJ ‘Freaky Frank’ Clementi’s treats & beats will bring you to the floor craving for more and more. Frank is truly one of the best kept secrets of the underground. Since the age of 15, Frank has professionally demonstrated his skills and abilities with some of New York’s most well known DJ’s, dating back to the birth of the US East Coast Rave Scene at the infamous Long Island Warehouse and New York’s weekly after hours venue ‘Caffeine’ – when it was exclusive to a large family of DJ’s, friends, promoters, and innovators picking up from the love generation and mixing techno, house, and breaks.
For the 2012 Mermaid Parade Ball’s 30th Anniversary, Freaky Frank’s DJ set turned a small after hours crowd into a packed Coney Island dance party until closing. From dive bars to the main stage at 2014 MysteryLand USA, Frank has spent nearly every weekend dedicated to New York’s DJ culture scene. Since the Summer of 2016, Frank has been relentlessly scouting record collections across the Tri-State area, gathering info and cataloging it into an electronic thesis-like archive as he goes for his DJ Ph.D. with Frankie Bones the professor.
Ain’t nothin’ gonna break-a my stride
I’m running and I won’t touch ground
Oh no, I got to keep on movin’
